The Highland ISD school board has officially approved the academic calendar for the 2026-2027 school year during their recent March meeting. The newly adopted calendar outlines key dates for the upcoming school year, including the first and last day of school, holiday breaks, staff development days, and other important events.
Students will head back to the classroom for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. With the schedule now finalized, families are encouraged to review the dates to prepare for the semester ahead and coordinate for upcoming holiday breaks.
