Hello! I have been a part of this amazing school since 1989. I resigned in 1992 to start my family but returned in 2000 after my children started school at Highland. It has been a pleasure to work at this amazing school. I am a proctor for the Dual Credit courses, and work directly with the professors at Western Texas College. I want the students to have a smooth transition from high school to college and help them in transferring with GPAs they can be proud of! I am also the UIL Academic Coordinator for high school and I am loving this position!
I am originally from San Angelo but moved to the Champion Community when I married Brad in 1988.
The Thompsons are a 3 generation family that have graduated from Highland ISD. My father-in-law (Danny) graduated in 1946, my husband graduated in 1979, my daughter (Megan) graduated in 2012 and my bonus son (Jordan) also graduated in 2012, my son (Laramie) graduated in 2014 and my bonus daughter (Bailey) graduated in 2016. So I call myself a "True Blue Hornet" and look forward to our 4th generation children to become Hornets too!
