NCLB Highly Qualified Teacher Report |
As part of the federal No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), all districts must report the district's progress toward meeting the No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified Teacher criteria.
As of 9/1/07, all HISD teachers meet the NCLB Highly Qualified criteria. |

Local Government Officer Conflicts Disclosure Statements |
Beginning January 1, 2006, board members and superintendents are required to complete the new Local Government Officer Conflicts Disclosure Statement. This form documents receipt of “any gift or gifts with an aggregate value that exceeds $250 from any person who contracts or seeks to contract for the sale or purchase of property, goods, or services with the school district.” Click on "Download" to see the completed forms for current board members and the superintendent. |

Conflict of Interest Forms |
Texas House Bill 914 (79th Legislative Session) and Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code Section 176.006
Effective January 1, 2006, a person that contracts or seeks to contract for the sale or purchase of property, goods, or services with the local governmental entity must timely file a conflict of interest questionnaire with the records administrator of the school district no later than the 7th business day after the vendor begins contract discussions or negotiations with the school district or submits to the school district an application, response to a request for proposals or bids, correspondence, or another writing related to a potential agreement with the school district.
